Dirt Camp

Friday through Sunday, July 17-19, Shawn Hill and wife, Magda, hosted 6 mountain bikers for the semi-annual dirt camp at their earth-friendly geothermal home in Middletown, Conn. We got muddy on Saturday on the single-track trails at Wadsworth Falls State Park in the morning. In the afternoon, a few of us headed to the more technical Miller's Pond State Park, while others rode hilly roads to the local watering hole for a dip. Lori Goodman was seen surfing (see photo), er actually back cracking a fellow rider. We had spectacular food from Shawn and Magda's garden, as well as a local Indian place, and were entertained by their very talented, and enthusiastic, dog. On Sunday, we headed back to the trails trying to add a few more black and blues to our bodies.
