Woodlawn / Bedford Hills / Tarrytown

This ride is for folks who aren’t satisfied with a ride to the Kensico Dam – it tours the whole reservoir. If you’ve wondered about the forests surrounding this beautiful Westchester lake, here’s your chance for a hilly 53 mi. leading to hard-packed trails and woodsy scenery. The ride leaves from the last stop on the number four train (Woodlawn), goes up to Bedford Hills, circumnavigates the reservoir, then follows the North County Trail to Tarrytown, where riders can take Metro North back (or not!). If you opt for the Metro North option, don’t forget to bring a bike pass.
